Andrzej Knafel is chief software architect at Roche Diagnostics International Ltd. in Switzerland. He has led international teams and multisite software development projects with a focus on automation, connectivity, security, and data management in health-care applications. Knafel applies international cooperation with companies, consortia, and public organizations and works with multicultural teams (he has lived in six countries on two continents). He is an inventor with published patents and co-author of multiple international standards. Knafel, a commercial airplane pilot, holds a doctor of engineering degree in technical cybernetics and a master’s degree in electrical engineering.
